In yet another sign of its recovery from the trying economic times of the past few years, the Pasadena Symphony Association has received a $500,000 matching gift from its Women’s Committee, $400,000 of which comes through a gift from the late Beebe Oliver Neutzman and the balance from proceeds of the 2010 Holiday Look-In Home Tour. A ceremonial check was presented at the Pasadena Symphony’s concerts today.
All new and increased gifts and pledges raised by Sept. 30, 2011 (the end of the PSA’s fiscal year) will be used to match the gift on a dollar-for-dollar basis. “This is a tremendous opportunity for all of us,” says Paul Jan Zdunek, Chief Executive Officer. “This gift has already begun to inspire new and increased donations from individuals, corporations and foundations.”
Neutzman will be honored in all Symphony Classics concert programs over the next five seasons as a sponsor of all instrumental and vocal soloists.
